How it works

A deliberate path from today’s owner to the next.

The workflow is simple enough to follow and careful enough for information that matters.

Getting started

Build the record in three clear stages.

01

Create and verify your account

Choose a private or business profile, confirm your email, and optionally protect sign-in with two-step verification.

02

Register the horse

Copy the UELN and passport details carefully, add the profile information, and securely retain the issued registration code.

03

Add the ongoing story

Upload documents, add authorized people, schedule appointments, and keep the record current.

When ownership changes

Both sides take part in the handover.

A transfer does not silently move a horse into another account.

A

The seller prepares

Choose the buyer’s email, select any read-only documents to share, and attach or generate an agreement if appropriate.

B

The buyer reviews

The transfer appears in the buyer’s Ownmyhorse account. They can review the identity and shared material before accepting or declining.

C

The record advances

After acceptance and any required approvals or fee, ownership history is updated and a new registration code is issued.

Practical transfer questions

What if the buyer does not have an account?

The transfer can be addressed to their email. They can create an account with that same address and find the pending transfer there.

Can a seller cancel?

A seller can cancel while the transfer is still pending. Completed ownership changes are preserved in the record.

Are all documents automatically shared?

No. The seller deliberately chooses which eligible documents the buyer may view during the pending transfer.

Ready when the passport is

Start with your horse’s known identity.

Registration takes place in the separate, authenticated application.
